Spanish Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Classic Spanish albóndigas simmered slowly in rich Valencia tomato sauce. Comfort food the Spanish way.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar La Roja Tomato Sauce
  • 500g ground beef or beef and pork mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine meat, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
  2. Form into small meatballs.
  3. Brown in olive oil until golden on all sides.
  4. Add La Roja Tomato Sauce.
  5. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
